Tips for Use

Keep candles away from drafts, fans, vents & AC. The direct airflow on to candles will accelerate the burn; the wax will melt faster and reduce burn time

If the diameter is too big, beeswax is soft enough to use a knife to lightly scrape the bottom of the candle to fit your candlestick

If the diameter is too small, light a candle and pour some wax in your candlestick, and use the melted wax as glue to hold your candle. Alternatively, you could use candle adhesive, candle huggers, or aluminum foil on the bottoms

Make sure the candle is standing straight up, otherwise the wax will drip and will decrease in burn time.

Over time beeswax will "bloom" (white film on the surface) and this is normal. It means that it is 100% pure beeswax and it will not affect the quality. You could polish it off with a cloth.

Avoid These Chemicals That are Destroying Your Health

According to the EPA, paraffin wax candles are the leading cause of indoor air pollutions.

A 2017 study published in the International Journal of Tropical Disease and Healthfound that burning paraffin candles can release pollutants that may pose health risks, particularly in enclosed spaces.

The CDC lists symptoms caused from paraffin wax fumes include irritation in the eyes, skin, and respiratory system, as well as discomfort and nausea.

Paraffin, a byproduct of petroleum, is a common material for most candles. The production of paraffin wax involves chemical bleaching and deodorizing of petroleum waste, which are then processed into wax. When paraffin wax candles are burned, they can emit harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including carcinogens such as:

🚫Toluene

These compounds, also present in diesel exhaust, are associated with triggering allergies, asthma, and skin irritations.

FAQs

Will these candles fit my holder?

Our candles are approximately 0.69" (just under 3/4") in diameter at the bottom.

If they're too small, we recommend melting the bottom of the candle, or use a little candle adhesive to make it stick to the holders.

If they're too big, beeswax is soft enough to take a knife and scrape the sides of the bottom to fit your holders. Alternatively you can use a taper candle sharpener.

Will these candles drip?

Our customers report that our candles drip very minimally, if at all.

Candles that drip excessively can be caused by burning in a drafty area, or not standing straight.
